Position: Cleaner/ Cleaning technician

We are seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to fill the position of cleaning technician.

 

Responsibilities:

• Adhering to established safety protocols and using cleaning chemicals in a safe and responsible manner.

• Perform routine cleaning tasks in various commercial settings, including offices, retail spaces, and industrial facilities.

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors, furniture, and fixtures.

• Emptying trash bins and ensuring proper waste disposal.

• Sanitizing and disinfecting surfaces, including desks, countertops, restrooms, and communal areas.

• Cleaning windows, glass partitions, and mirrors to maintain a spotless appearance.

• Handling and operating cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners and pressure washers.

• Restocking supplies, including paper towels, toilet paper, and soap.

• Reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate channels.

• Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.

• Providing excellent customer service and communicating client requests and concerns to your supervisor .

• Following company policies and procedures to maintain quality standards.

 

Requirements:

• 1 year proven experience as a cleaner, janitor or maintenance worker is preferred but not mandatory.

• Knowledge of various cleaning techniques, methods, materials, and equipment.

• Familiarity with safety procedures and practices related to cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks at a fast pace.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• WHIMS certification (If not, one will be provided through training)

• Work authorization

• Pass a criminal records check

• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for transportation (if required for off-site cleaning assignments).

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or extended hours as needed.

• Integrity and good interpersonal skills

• Perform and track routine quality inspections

• Perform and track maintenance activities and checklists

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to maximize efficiency.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

• Professional cleaning or janitorial maintenance 1 year (preferred),

• Customer service 1 year (preferred)

• Wage: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Job type:

• Part-time 15-30 hours per week

​

Schedule:

• 4 hour shifts, evenings & weekends

​
